Helping others and giving back to the community is very important to me. Every weekend, I go to the city center with my family to provide free food to people experiencing homelessness. I also make donations and help in any way I can, using my pocket money and birthday money instead of receiving gifts.
I extend this same spirit to my school and friends, helping other students with donations, sharing resources, and encouraging kindness. Whether it’s supporting classmates, helping younger students, or giving back to the wider community, I try to make a positive difference wherever I go.
Even though I am young, I believe small actions can make a big difference, and giving back has taught me the value of kindness, empathy, generosity, and responsibility.
Things I’ve Created
My Books
The Big Bully is my first book, which I co-authored with my sister, Ayesha Malik. Writing this book helped me discover how stories can help people understand feelings and be kinder to one another.
I wanted the book to show what bullying feels like from a child’s point of view and to remind readers that everyone has emotions, even when they don’t show them. I shared ideas about characters, feelings, and situations that kids can relate to at school and in everyday life.
Being part of creating a real book taught me that even young kids can turn their ideas into something meaningful. I learned to be patient, creative, and confident in sharing my thoughts. Seeing our book published and shared with others made me feel proud and excited to keep writing.
One of my favourite experiences was talking about our book at the Victorian Parliament and our Local MP’s office. It showed me that children’s ideas are important and that stories written by kids can make a difference.
Through my writing, I hope to encourage other children to believe in themselves, be brave, and use their imagination to share their stories with the world.
